Smiling People Films, founded in 2000,
it's a Panamanian company which objective it's producing new creative and
innovative film projects, who reflects the talent and our country Latin
idiosyncrasy. Our first production called "THE NIGHT"(2004), raise us
to a new step forward our objectives, gaining for us the thrust of Hollywood
producers like Joel Castleberg(Mr. Jelousy-1997, Highball-1997, Sleep with Me-1994 among others) who
signed with us to produce an clay animated film. Actually we are proposing new
film projects to Hollywood. Any investor it's welcome to join us in our very

Smiling People films, signed contract with a Website dedicated to the promotion of independent films in new media like the internet and others to promote and market the 2004 film “LA NOCHE” ('The Night').
“World peace... long shot”
Smiling People Films finished the animated mini-production called “World peace…. long shot” or “Paz mundial…créelo o no”, in Spanish, to participate in a 15 second short films festival. This production can be downloaded in this website free for the moment, but will soon be for sale to download in your computer or IPod.

JOAQUIN CARRASQUILLA SIGNED TO ACT IN THE FILM 'GRANPA'.
Joaquín Carrasquilla it's been signed too act in the feature film produced by Panamanian singer 'THE GENERAL', and the producer-director Joseph Medina. In the film Joaquín it's the friend of the son of the character of 'Grandpa', played by 'The General', Joaquín wins his car in the casinos.

The recording of short film 'Toca y muere' it's ready. Joaquín Carrasquilla, Eillen Sosa, Zito Barés are starring. Joaquín and Alfredo Jimenez are now in post-production, projection should be ready by January of 2007.
The Production for the short film, tentatively called, “Touch & Die”, has started! In this film will play lead Joaquín Carrasquilla, Carolina Romo and Zito Barés. Also, Emanuel Carrasquilla will play a part in this film.
